We stayed at the end of September during the rainy season. We were very worried that there would be problems with the weather. It rained every night, but by 9 o'clock in the morning it stopped and the sun came out for the whole day. For a week of stay on the island, only once there was a very strong storm, and even then at night, it subsided by morning. But we saw and heard a real tropical storm. Impressive! As for the hotel. We were settled very quickly, upon arrival we were treated to tropical fruit juice. The bungalow is spacious, everything you need is there: slippers, bathrobes, a hairdryer, a kettle, tea and coffee sets, a refrigerator, a minibar, but we didn’t use it - it’s a little expensive, it’s easier to buy everything in shops, a safe is free. Yes, they take a deposit - $ 100, then return it. The room is cleaned every day, the cleanliness is incredible, there are white towels for the feet on the floor. Beds are clean. The breakfasts are excellent, varied, everything was enough for everyone, very tasty. We had dinner in hotels once - we decided to try it. Tasty, but more expensive than in the city, but there is a 10% discount. There are a lot of cafes near the hotel, cheap and tasty. There are also many souvenir shops. You can not bring anything with you, you can buy everything on the spot - cheap and of normal quality. Thais walk on the beach offering all sorts of goods. Leather goods (bags, wallets, belts, etc. ) on the island are really 2.5 times cheaper than in Bangkok. We saw for ourselves that the goods are the same, but the prices. . . From entertainment - various excursions: elephant riding, a walk around the islands (the whole day with 2 meals a day), a walk to a waterfall, a fire show, etc. But in general, rest on Koh Chang is for those who want to relax in silence, away from civilization. No discos, noise and din. This is a family friendly hotel, especially with small children. This is one of the best hotels on the coast. We walked - looked and made sure of it. The staff is friendly, polite. Yes, the bank next to the hotel is closed on Saturday. You need to go to another place (center), but there, too, before lunch. Thais do not accept dollars at the currency exchange hotel, only the local currency - baht (this is for reference). In general, a chic vacation, a chic place and a wonderful country. And let the "rainy season" not scare you, there are not many vacationers, prices are lower, and service, nature and emotions are 5+. I recommend!
