Bungalow. The room has everything you need - hair dryer, air conditioning, tea, coffee, water, etc. The room itself is clean, but the plumbing is old, the towels are red, but clean. Every day, the Thais made all sorts of animal figures from towels (and we left a tip). I didn’t like the bed - a very hard mattress and terribly hard pillows. Sleep was uncomfortable.
Restaurant. It is located next to this bungalow (A 6). The food is very simple, monotonous, poor, there were almost no fruits, yoghurts - there was none at all..... On the 3rd day of our stay, I didn’t want to go to breakfast at all, I didn’t we were fed deliciously.
Territory. Green, the pool is very tiny. The beach is cool, but you have to borrow sun loungers in the morning, there wasn’t enough for everyone (for free). The sea is very warm, but dirty. We were surprised to see such a sea....
Carefully! We saw a snake on the territory of the hotel.
Excursions. And to go on the island, in general, there is nowhere....Everything is kind of antediluvian. Of all the proposed excursions, I liked the trip to the islands. Although we saw the cleanest sea (although the islands themselves are already polluted by people))))). The guide, of course, all the excursions are expensive, we took them from the Thais at the Reception, the price is lower.
That's all - then we moved to Bangkok.
At the beginning of May, the dry season ends and the rains and showers begin. This year, the weather turned bad early and there were almost no sunny days, but this did not overshadow our impressions of the rest on the island.
At the Coconut Beach Resort, the room was Wanichpool in the new building, which is to the right of the reception and with its own pool. The room was neat and clean. Cleaning daily with linen change. Safe, however, at the "reception" for a small deposit, but it's more reliable!
Coconut Beach Resort is one of the most economical on Klong Prao Beach. It has the best location: there is an exchange office, a pharmacy, several restaurants across the road and a couple of good massage parlors nearby. The superior bungalows are the most expensive rooms in the hotel, but they are practically right on the beach. .
Motorbike rental is available directly at the hotel, a little more expensive, but with a guarantee. The hotel restaurant offered a reasonable variety of food for breakfast and reasonably priced and good quality lunches and dinners. But when a delegation of local residents arrived to hold their event, breakfast was lost for us - "everything for Thais" - that's how it could be called!
Koh Chang is truly Thailand's quietest seaside resort, and Klong Prao Beach is considered one of the best on the island. Shallow sea, gradual entrance to the depth - especially good for families with children. Low tides are insignificant - the sea leaves 30-50 meters. There are few sun loungers on the hotel's beach, mostly sun loungers, but there have never been any problems: tourists seemed to dissolve somewhere and the beach was always semi-desert.
The most popular excursion on the island is a two-hour elephant ride with a swim in the river! For lovers of extreme sports - "Treetop Walk" - not for tourists who are weak in strength and spirit! Swimming in the waterfall involves a 25-minute ascent along a path trodden in the jungle, so it’s better to buy a ticket at the entrance yourself so as not to limit yourself in time. Since the islands of the Chang group are a National Reserve, a full-day yacht trip to 5 islands is worthy of attention to admire the surrounding beauty, snorkel around the coral reefs and even, if agreed in advance, you can go fishing during yacht stops.
After each visit to Thailand, you begin to treat life philosophically, "in Thai" - which is important given our fast-paced pace of life in Moscow.
Have a nice holiday everyone!
Located on the coast, private sandy beach.
The rooms are clean but no frills.
No bath, shower, washbasin.
7 Russian channels on TV.
The attitude of the staff does not please with attention - for 3 days he asked to repair or change the TV remote control, but no one was especially fussy.
Breakfasts are standard for Thailand - not the most diverse, but you will not die of hunger.
Opposite the hotel, across the road, there is a mini market and a market.
10 minutes from the hotel on the "tuk-tuk" - a waterfall. Worth a visit - very beautiful.
In 30 minutes - the port.
On tour. The agency next door to the hotel took a one day boat "cruise" around the 5 nearby islands with snorkeling. Of course, this is not the Red Sea, i. e. the fish and corals are not so colorful, but still beautiful.
Coconut groves, clear sea and sun - what else do those who live in dullness and cold all year long need? The hotel was chosen from photographs, because. There are almost no reviews on the internet. We found some information on the site "Ivan Susanin" (this company works in Thailand). Upon arrival, we realized that we made the right choice. The hotel is immersed in greenery, the sea is two steps away. The rooms were cleaned daily, the towels are always clean, the food for 3 * was very surprised (always a great variety), friendly staff. Mostly foreigners rest in Coconut, for the whole week we met only one Russian married couple. Because there were no our fellow countrymen in the hotel it was always quiet and calm. Very good hotel, if we go again, we will definitely visit this hotel! The host (we flew from Intourist, I don’t remember the name of the host) pleased only on the island. Our guides on the island, well, just surprised with their care! What can not be said about the guides of the host in Bangkok! Our flight (flying with the North Wind) was delayed for 18 hours, so these smart people, knowing that the flight was delayed, threw us into the airport and waved! Thanks to the representative of the North Wind (he fed us, but there were a lot of us). Such behavior of the meeting party certainly spoiled the end of the holiday!
