We arrived at the Hotel and from the lobby we were taken to the club floor - The Royal Club. We arrived at 12:30 and were asked to wait until 15:00, which is the check-in time. We agreed, although usually in other 5-star Hotels with Club accommodation, check-in is immediately upon arrival. Also, the young man at the Club reception asked us at what time we would leave the room, that is, we had not settled yet, but they already asked when we would leave the Hotel ? ! This was also very strange, in some hotels they were interested, but only in order to prepare breakfast in the room upon early departure, but this is not the case!
We again approached the Club on the 26th floor at 16:20 and we were offered a room on the 14th floor (29 floors in total), which was already nonsense, because only the high floor was indicated in our rate!
We announced this, and the girl told us that each client has his own concept of "high floor" - was this a revelation for us?!
As a result, we were given another room on the 23rd floor and again asked to wait 30 minutes until the room was cleaned. The time was already 17:10!
In room 2311, two sets of disposable bath slippers were prepared for us, which were already unpacked and showed signs of wear with a noticeable footprint.
In the bathroom of the room, we found a trash can with a very strong smell of tobacco. We went out into the corridor on the floor and, seeing the cleaning lady, asked to replace the bucket. And it's all in a non-smoking room!
After unpacking our suitcases, we went to the Club for an evening cocktail with light snacks. On the 26th floor, where the Club is located, near the elevator in the flowerbed, we saw a cigarette butt. Despite the fact that smoking is also prohibited in the Club, however, as in the entire Hotel!
We told about these all cases in the Club reception and showed them the used slippers.
Finally, having returned to our room tired, we wanted to relax and take a shower, but here we were in for an unpleasant surprise!
After a sad experience with slippers, we decided to dismantle the bed and inspect the linens. And, what was our surprise, on all two beds the bed linen was dirty!! ! Pillowcases not the first freshness, sheets with stains and traces of use! We again went to the Club and said that the room was dirty and we got bed linen from previous guests!
We were again asked to wait and called the duty manager of the hotel (Duty Manager). She looked at our room and said that she would personally check the next room (already the third! ) and invite us. This time we were offered a room on the 28th floor, which is called Le ROYAL CLUB.
As a result, we got to our room No. 2802 only at 22:00 and did not examine anything in detail, but in the morning we found a package from a used condom under the bed!! ! This speaks of the cleaning in the room and, most importantly, the attitude towards visitors!
The next day at exactly 08:00 in the morning we were awakened by very loud music that continued all day.
The Club told us that this is some kind of national wedding, which takes place on the 29th floor in the rooftop bar of the hotel. The guests of this event were accommodated on all the upper floors of the Hotel. After these words, it became clear to us why we were not initially given our room on a high floor, which we reserved two months ago and which is located only on the top floors of the hotel. The hotel is engaged in Overbooking - that is, it sells one room to different people on the same date!
