A visit to the Republic of San Marino was included in the program of the 8-day tour "Classic Italy", if you arrive early in the morning, then the excursion to San Marino falls into 1 day. We were lucky, we arrived in the morning and only had time to settle in the Rimini hotel, we were immediately taken to San Marino. Guide Igor spoke amazingly about this place, about the history of this state, about the relationships and traditions of this free people, about the rigid sovereignty of the country and conflict-free solutions to all encroachments on the seizure of their lands. When we arrived at the place, we saw the most beautiful views at the foot of the mountain, the tower of the ancient castle. We wandered through the narrow labyrinths of streets, went into cozy souvenir shops. Everything around was decorated with the entourage of the coming Christmas, unrealistically beautiful figurines, handmade souvenirs, which we did not see anywhere else when traveling around Italy. Many Russian-speaking sellers, many brand stores, high-quality (not Chinese) leather goods. In an hour we got to the topmost observation platform, stopping in every lane where we came across Christmas markets with all sorts of goodies, pretzels, mulled wine. On the way back we went for a tasting of local wines, delicious liquors and sparkling wine. From the top you can go down the cable car. You can talk for a long time about your unforgettable impressions of this town, but I will say one thing: to see this place, taste local wines and inevitably you will be covered with a feeling of happiness and that Life is beautiful.
