Hotel KRYM, Trencianske Teplice, Slovakia.
Who rests in a sanatorium? Slovaks - pensioners rest in the sanatorium, most of them move with difficulty, well over 65. Staying with them for free is a key point from which a lot is clear. The people are mostly friendly. Lots of Germans.
Who understands the Belarusian, Polish, Ukrainian languages will agree on a household level with everyone. The older people all studied Russian at school. In the hotel, all the necessary information is also presented in Russian. The main foreign language is German, almost everyone knows it. Even the locals. Almost no one knows English.
Stay from 11 to 22 February 2017
Family: 2 adults and 2 children (8 and 5 years old).
1. Road. We traveled by car from Vilnius, which is 1066 km. With Sygic navigator.
2. Treatment. This is the strongest position here. The price includes 2 treatments per day. But they appointed 3 or even 4 each. Plus, there are also bonuses in the form of visiting the internal thermal pool 1 time in 6 days and a whirlpool bath, as well.
- professionally
- effectively
- gently without pressure and fanaticism
- with a positive result
Satisfied with everything: from the doctor to the execution, the courtesy of the staff, the cleanliness.
In the rooms where the procedures are carried out, Soviet interiors - for whom this is important.
The uniqueness of the sanatorium is thermal hydrogen sulfide water (it smells like rotten eggs), which is 25 thousand years old. This is truly the most amazing thing in the resort.
With it you can take individual baths, you can drink - a spring near the frog in front of the sanatorium, the water flows for free, you can drink all day. Hours from 7 am to 7 pm. Many people live in other hotels come here for treatment.
3. Accommodation. We had room 533A on the 5th floor of a 5 story building. Number of 3 rooms. New furniture. Mattresses are new and comfortable. Repair. Warm. Cosy. The bathroom is new. There are no complaints about the number. Cleaning every day, clean well. Change of linen 1 time per week. The room is just a bunch and a mountain of towels. 2 white terry bathrobes. The robes weren't changed. The soundproofing between rooms is excellent, between floors not so much. Neighbors downstairs asked to be quiet - we generally tried to leave the room.
4. Nutrition. Breakfast, lunch, dinner - buffet. That was a terrible surprise. Honestly, it was a nightmare. I already forgot that this can spoil the products. If it's free, then okay, you can put up with it. At first I didn’t understand how it was, but when I found out that most of them are free, it became clear.
- queues for delivery - just a few trays
- for breakfast porridge is a rarity
- no kefir, no other sour milk
- soup is the worst: a gray vegetable brew (for example, peas with barley), I could not eat
I just wanted to cry sometimes. The smell is indescribable.
Sometimes we went to local restaurants. For 4 people dinner 25 - 40 euros.
5. Children. Children in the sanatorium are just like guests. They are not given any procedures. They only let you into the Grand pool (which is on the street). Most of the people looked at them in amazement. For the most part, the response was very positive. But sometimes there is no pool. There is no animation, there is no children's room, so I periodically took children with me for procedures. Children were not given bathrobes in the room. The kids loved the pool. The younger, however, began to cough.
6. Pool Grand. (on the street). HE WITH ORDINARY CHLORINATED WATER!!! ! From stainless steel. 1.20 m deep. Very clean. The water temperature is about 30 gr.
It looks bigger in the photos than it really is. It is quite small somewhere - about 2.5 tracks of 25 m in length. They alternately turn on all sorts of attractions - a circular river, underwater massagers, a waterfall, an air bed - nothing special. The price of accommodation includes 1 hour 20 minutes of visits every day. It's nice to swim in it.
7. Thermal pool. There is inside. The thermal water is not chlorinated. It is a separate procedure. I preferred baths.
8. Parking. Paid. 2 euros per day.
9. Park, nature, town. NO wind! ! +1 - it feels like spring. Nice, soft. Very pleasant, beautiful pedestrian zone about 1 km. There is a pond, a mountain river - with the purest water. The town is located in a valley between mountains. Beautiful place. Your own energy. The reboot is happening. Mountain air. The entire infrastructure is sharpened for summer holidays. There are no ski slopes nearby. The locals advise Jasna.
10. On the territory of Poland, it is better to have cash zloty with you - almost everywhere there is paid parking, even near shops. If you pay by card, you lose a lot on the difference in rates.
11. Conclusion. There is no desire to come back. I will not recommend to friends.
