Slovakia
Well, hello! Happy holidays. You asked about Slovakia, and so, I report. I went from the tour company "Feeria".
There were about 30-35 of us traveling from Odessa, all in one carriage. This once again confirms that travel agencies book tickets and then a mere mortal will get them to hell. Upon arrival in Uzhgorod, we were transferred to one bus and sent across the border. At the border, we stood in line for 4 hours, although there were not many buses, and the check was so formal: they took out bags from the bus, went through the checkpoint, where customs officers randomly checked us, stuffed the bags into the bus.
It is allowed to carry 1 liter of fuel on the snout and a block of cigarettes. They asked me to unzip my travel bag, lifted the jeans lying on top and that's it, the check is over.
Then we were taken to our places of residence. It turns out that everyone booked different hotels and we were transported to them. Our group of 7 chose a group of cottages called "Greenfield" in the village of Velky Slavkov near the town of Poprad, and the rest were taken somewhere further. It turned out to be very convenient, since we were already taken on excursions by minibus, and this is faster and you don’t need to adapt to anyone.
We were accommodated in a tiny but cozy two-story cottage of a new construction, there was only one check-in before us, so everything is new and clean. On the first floor there is a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and on the second floor there are two bedrooms with double beds. Just for seven people (the living room was suitable for a couple with a child).
Due to bad conditions for skiing, on the first day we were taken to the distant mountain Strbske Pleso. There are 4 lifts on the mountain, the queues are not long (maximum 3 minutes), and the maximum track is 2500 meters. It takes an hour to go by train, but we liked the conditions and so we went on it. A warm and soft train costs 40 kroons, ski rental is 490, and ski lifts from 12 to 15.30 - 520 kroons. If you take the lift from morning to 15.30 - 740 kroons. After 15.30 the track is closed and prepared for evening skiing for some money.
We were in the thermal water park in the city of Poprad where the water is 38 degrees, and it’s snowing on our heads - it’s cool, I liked it, I recommend it. We also visited a cave with stalactites - all sorts of stalagmites there. The length of the cave is about 3.5 km. - unusual, original. One of the largest castles in Europe (I don’t remember the name) - it’s useful for general development. Of the six days, 4 days were skiing, and two went on excursions. I consider this choice to be optimal, since the legs get tired from skiing, and you also need to cultivate it.
