What I really liked about the boarding house is that everything is done with a great soul. It can be seen that the owners are greedy, and did everything for the people (the owners, by the way, live there). We had a check-in from 15-00, we arrived at 11-00, we were allowed into the room without any questions! What was nice... ) There is parking, there is a barbecue, there is a kitchen with everything you need. The only drawback is that it was a little cool in the room and that it was far from the ski lift, but again, it’s even nice to walk, min 15! Lift behind the Grand Hotel, the funicular leaves every 30 minutes (on the mountain there is a toboggan run and hiking paths). Rent a sled for 3 euros in bitches - downstairs near the stall (they are simpler, but normal), and 6 euros in a shop near the funicular - they are bomb! Sledding is a lot of fun, for parents, children and young people the most! )) I liked the cuisine at the Grand Hotel, and in general the hotel itself is cool! You can have lunch or a snack near the Stary Smokovec hotel (next to a cool souvenir shop), on average, the bill for two for lunch is 10-15 euros (two soups, two second and tea).
BUT WHAT I WANT TO NOTE, the resort of Stary or Novy Smokovec is not for avid skiers or boarders. For this business we went to Strbske Pleso. I would even say that Smokovets is exclusively for lugers)) There are absolutely no slides for active sports, or rather, there are a couple of tiny ones, but I don’t consider them slides. . . Except for children. That is, if you only need a sled, air and tranquility, you are here. If you have come for activity, you are definitely not in Smokovec. There are a lot of grannies, grandfathers) There are few young people) On the first day at 9 o’clock, they barely found where to have dinner)) After 17-18 in the evening it feels like Smokovets is dying out))) All the movement is either in the Grand Hotel or in Kolyba))) And then until 22-00)))
