Since the Slovaks made a campaign to issue a multi-visa for citizens of Ukraine, and we needed a multi-visa for various trips around Europe, we decided to apply through a travel agency for a tour to Slovakia.
The travel agency was chosen based on reviews on Turpravda, it turned out to be a company managed by Larisa Kalinichenko, the Tesoro company, also known as the Tesoro club. Larisa turned out to be a very pleasant manager in communication. All questions about the documents were resolved quickly, and we began to collect them. Since the hype for tours began, they planned to first go to the Junior Hotel (Larisa made a reservation at this hotel but it was not confirmed) They suggested the Jan Sverma 2 hotel after looking at the map, we decided since there was nothing else in the inexpensive segment to book it. They were worried that the documents would get to the embassy on time and not come out on the day of departure. All the documents that were collected were sent to the travel agency.
The answer about the confirmation of the reservation should have been received on February 4, he himself called the travel agency many times but did not receive an answer, he began to get nervous at the expense of the travel agency. Only on the 5th they called us back and said that the reservation was confirmed only not for 8 days there is a tour but for 9 days. They agreed because there was no way out, time was running out, they immediately paid for the tour and the documents went to the embassy. Yes, I forgot to add, they also submitted documents for a 7-year-old child for his multivisa, but they didn’t take him on a tour. We didn’t ski even once, so we decided to go ourselves first and plus the main thing was to get a multivisa in our case
The most irritating has begun. Many people write on the pages of Turpravda and it is not clear who to believe and who not. During this period, they began to write that the cartoons stopped issuing a ball, they say, everything ended only for a visa tour. Everyone thought we would not see a multi-visa. A multivisa is also needed for trips to relatives in Italy.
They themselves applied to the Italian consulate 2 years ago and their wife was refused. Everyone thought we would not see multiple visas after reading who received the visas. But sometimes messages made their way that cartoons still give but not to everyone, selectively. And we had hope. And then came the day of issuing passports. Assigned to the travel agency on February 12th. On this day, I called the travel agency Larisa said the answer would be after lunch. I call after lunch, the answer is still no documents will be after 17. I call, after 17 no one picks up the phone.
Well, I think all the documents are in Kyiv, I'm in Komsomolsk (Poltava region) to collect things or not. He himself was not very worried anymore, his wife panicked. But as they say, morning is wiser than evening. In the morning I call the travel agency Larisa reassured me that everything is fine with the documents today, yesterday at the embassy there were clashes with some kind of travel agency and not all travel agencies were given the documents.
There are already a lot of applicants, plus a bunch of leftists who wanted to promote and get visas simply without tours for a fictitious reservation. At lunch, Larisa herself called back and said that everyone had cartoons for 2 years. I even asked how much, because they were counting on at least six months. And then, as they say, everything was relieved, the work stopped what for if it is here Slovakia and the cartoon for 2 years.
Collections have begun. Ski pants and overalls were purchased while waiting for documents. The jackets were because we love Columbia sportswear and this is where these clothes turned out to be at the right time. Everyone gathered, the child was collected and taken to his wife's parents and in the morning we went to Kyiv by minibus. The roads along the way turned out to be terrible, we drove almost 5.30 instead of 4.3. Arriving in Kyiv, they called back to the travel agency and Larisa sent a courier to the station who brought us the documents, told and showed everything. She herself wanted to meet with us or for us to come to the office to see that the travel agency was serious, but she did not succeed and we did not have time. Having taken the documents and left them to his wife, he went to the subway and to New mail to pick up gloves.
I drove there calmly until I found where I explained that it was my goods, having paid again for the delivery, I flew back at full speed running to the subway and running along the escalator. I managed to return 15 minutes before the train departure, it took one hour to get there and back. Everything seemed to work out and everything worked out, and we went on the tour calm.
We got to Uzhgorod normally and after getting off the train we were met and sent to a big bus, putting our bags and collecting everyone on the list, the bus started the trip. From the side it seemed that the bus was going very strange, very fast like a formula 1 car. We got to a shift change, so we had to wait 20 minutes, then the Slovaks came and took our passports. Everyone got off the bus and each with a passport went through the customs officer.
The wife was very worried that there was no child and this could somehow affect. But the customs officers asked where the child was supposedly, to which the wife replied that she was ill and the customs officer put a stamp on her visa and let her pass. Then the bus was already driving quietly across Slovakia, not exceeding the speed limit. We drove 280 km, somewhere in 4 hours 30 minutes.
There were 14 people in our hotel. On the way, everyone was unloaded, a bus came for us and we were taken to our hotel.
We settled quickly by filling out the questionnaires, we asked for the Liptov card (3 euros per person) which gives discounts on the ski pass of about 30% and free travel on the Ski bus. The room was on the 4th floor, the view from their window is beautiful. After settling down, they unsubscribed to their relatives via the Internet that everything was ok, they arrived without problems. right downstairs near the reception they rented skis, a helmet, boots and poles. For two for 6 days it cost 90 euros.
Some of the equipment was taken to the room and the skis were taken to the closet for storage. Everyone has their own locker with a key for skis and poles. The distributor himself is quite friendly and understands what we need. We asked to adjust the skis as we ski for the first time.
Then, taking a camera, we went to take pictures and study the way back and forth to see where the lifts are and where to buy ski passes. The weather was sunny with a little snow. For photos, it's the best. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel is not bad, there is something to eat before skiing. In the evening there is a choice of the second of the four dishes of your choice. Breakfast in the morning is enough almost until the evening if you eat well. They took only tea, cognac in a flask and dried fruits with them. The next day, we bought ski passes for 139 euros for one for 6 days (using the Liptov Kart), walked from the hotel to the ski lifts and, choosing a nearby blue track, went to it. It turned out to be Route 10.

A bus for 1 euro goes from the hotel in the evening to the hotel, we waited for it near the Grand Hotel, we got to the hotel and began to give money, and the driver is also the equipment distributor in the hotel, he didn’t take the money, they say you rented a free ride for you there and back.
Beaten, we returned to the hotel for dinner, unsubscribed home, returned to the room smeared with Deprilif and already at 20.00 we were knocked out. In the morning we got up at 7.00 somehow more cheerful, the excitement took its toll, but the ski passes were bought, we need to work further on ourselves. We went to have a hearty breakfast, took the equipment and waited for the bus, but on this day there was another distributor who didn’t explain to us that we wouldn’t go, we stuck around on the street with others who wanted to go and decided to walk along the Liptov hotel.
We followed everyone and behind the hotel you need to go not down to the ski lift, but go uphill just under a steep descent where we fell on track 10. Having put on skis there, we went down, remembering what we learned yesterday.
Having reached down, we went to route 13. My wife said that this is her route until the end of the holiday. We rolled this track before lunch normally, falling a couple of times. At the bottom we had a bite and drank cognac and continued skating. Already turned out much better than the first day. We went to the bus, but he didn’t come and walked to the hotel through the woods and across the lake, went to the hotel Mikulin’s hut and there we already reached our hotel. Skis in the locker, boots in the room on the battery, unsubscribed to relatives for dinner, returned to the room and slept anointed with the same Deprilif. The next day passed like the previous one, except that they began to ride even better and it became somehow boring and not interesting, and the wife herself suggested that we go back to conquer our hill from which we started No. 10. And in the late afternoon we went to conquer the track. We got up and drove to the turn, we arrived without incident.
His wife drove by, but I decided to drive at speed, I couldn’t cope and fell, we drove to a steep descent and then my wife also fell once, and I fell a couple, but not so much (in the evening it’s very difficult to ride for a whole day braking, they put a lot of snow that there are only hillocks and go really hard)
We decided to take the same route again. We drove, my wife didn’t fall, but I fell once. She went braking with a plow, but I didn’t, I want speed and adrenaline. We drove back to the hotel.
On the 3rd day we decided to rest and went to Tartland. If you do not ride, then this day is counted for free in the water park. The bus is free from the Grand Hotel. Thermal springs in the water park. One outdoor pool with a temperature of 39, the second with a lower temperature somewhere around 25.
And inside there are four pools, two with thermal salty water and two with ordinary water and various types of massage such as a jacuzzi (jets and jets with air in different places). In general, we rested, relaxed, returned to the hotel. We went to the local hut, which is located behind the hotel. They took a knuckle, dumplings with brynza for me a beer, 2 bottles of becherovka and demenovka for my wife. We paid 33 euros for everything. Everything is delicious only for bread, it is not on the menu, you need to pay extra 1 euro and 5 euros were taken for the design of the shank mustard, horseradish, cucumbers and 3 euros for service and music (all this is not on the menu)
The next day we went to the track 10.13 no longer interested,
went down a couple of times without falling and decided to drive the blue trails. We went up to 13 and then on a chair to 5a.
There, at the top, it’s kind of dumb because they have never been and the tracks are not familiar, we drove down it neatly, then we turned 5 and drove along it. We went up on the B1 lift and went down to track 2a, drove along it to the lift to Chopok, climbed to the top, took a photo and went down back on the lift, the red slopes are not yet for us. We moved to the A4 trailer and went down the 13th route. We returned to our track 10 . We drove down it and there is also a route 7a, we also drove along it. We returned to the hotel as heroes, we did all the blue runs, having learned to ski on our own for the first time, skiing for 4 days. We had dinner, taking beer to me and my wife, their cream and, like, demenovka. The hotel beer and wine is cheaper than in Kolyba. At the Pilziner Beer Hotel 1.5 euros, a golden pheasant 1.2 euros. Wine 1.5 euro 200 ml.
The last day left in the morning the weather was not very good. It was snowing . My glasses with diopria saved me a little, my wife doesn’t have them, and there’s nothing to do there without skiing in such weather.
Rest is great. Not only me, but also my wife liked it very much. I think we'll go again
