We chose the San Simon hotel in Izola, in fact, believing the reviews of tourists vacationing in it. Now we are sure that these reviews should be treated very critically and philosophically. We didn't like the hotel! The old hotel apparently has not been updated for a long time in small uncomfortable rooms, old cheap shabby furniture and furnishings, the old-style air conditioner is completely on the floor, it buzzes like a tractor and the cold practically does not give, they asked to fix or change the room half or only promises.

We chose the San Simon hotel in Izola, in fact, believing the reviews of tourists vacationing in it. Now we are sure that these reviews should be treated very critically and philosophically. We didn't like the hotel! The old hotel apparently has not been updated for a long time in small uncomfortable rooms, old cheap shabby furniture and furnishings, the old-style air conditioner is completely on the floor, it buzzes like a tractor and the cold practically does not give, they asked to fix or change the room half or only promises.... There is no Internet, that is, it is only for the money of 2 euros a day, it seems to be a trifle, but not nice !! ! Parking seems to be free too, but this one is not in the sun, and then if we manage to take a place (we didn’t succeed), if not, then 10 euros per day in the underground parking. There are no guests of their own beach and the whole district uses the common beach of Simonov Bay, this is something like Berdyansk, only many times more people, it reminded us of the town of Yalta beaches where people lie almost on top of each other. The sea is dirty, more precisely, with algae and some kind of muddy water is in no way similar to the waters of the Adriatic we are used to. Food seems to be varied, in general, a lot, but all the food is like in Egypt - beautifully served, but everything is not tasty. The canteen is crowded for food, a bunch of children run screaming and crying.... The staff is tired, on the faces you can read "God, when are you all full!!???? " In the evening, it’s boring, nice animation only for lazy children, it takes about 20 minutes to go to the city by car, if it’s hard to park, it’s impossible to park along the embankment in the city center there is a sewer stench, there are no decent cafes or restaurants, they wanted to eat fresh fish, but it is served from mobile booths and they are fried there , the stench is incredible, they did not dare to try. . . A couple of times we went to Portorož in the evening; there, more or less decently, a completely different level, a different audience.... but again, problems with parking. . . In a word, we did not like the beach holiday in Slovenia. Maybe because we are used to Croatia and Montenegro. . . True, we rested in Bled in winter and everything was fine! Good luck and have a great holiday!! !
