We walked on foot to the embankment to the Ferris wheel, walked to tea on the same street with air conditioning. In general, you can get around the entire center of Singapore on foot from the hotel. The metro is also very close, but we did not use it. In the evening, there is also where to go and where to eat near the shopping center, shops and cafes.
