The beach is very clean, the place is well adapted for swimming. The villas are large, very comfortable, secluded. We recommend villas with a panoramic view, it is really impressive.
Maia is an expensive hotel, but we are sure that it is better to pay a lot and have no regrets than to pay a little less and realize that the place is not worth the money.
Many said that it was very similar, some of those who had been there and there convinced that they were completely different things.
Would like to check it out for yourself! Well, first I will say that the Seychelles cost us a little more than the same Maldives. I usually don’t pay for tours, but my husband, after the announcement of the price list, froze for a second and with the words “however! ” looked at me)) But I persistently continued to “cheer for” the Seychelles! Believe me, it's worth it and IT'S completely different there!
In short, the Maldives is privacy in one place and an emphasis on water. Houses on the water, snorkeling, diving, etc. In the Seychelles, we didn’t sit still, walked, drove, the nature is completely different. There are mountains, lush vegetation, reliefs, fantastic beaches.
We did not choose the hotel much - we were advised by Raffles as it was recently opened and there was a special offer for it. I immediately liked the hilly landscape and scattered houses "in the bushes", I really wanted to try it all! This is not the main island, this is the second one, we sailed to it by ferry (we saved money, we could fly in 15 minutes). Don't worry, you can survive. Although they were afraid that it could be very sickening.
There are many Russians in the hotel. Full! Apparently, only ours were given discounts, or ours were so greedy for discounts that they flooded the entire hotel. A girl Tatyana works here, or she worked, I don’t know now. From Ukraine. Everything tells, shows, greets. In general, any question - to her. But, in general, there were no questions.
The hotel is great and did not disappoint at all. The territory is huge. I hope we managed to get around it all. Here, right on the territory, there is just a forest. You can walk and walk. The beach is cool. This, too, cut into the forest in places. In general, a riot of vegetation like nowhere else. View from the hotel to the neighboring island-reserve. The sea (or ocean? ) is clean and warm. Swim like never before.
We traveled a lot. Be sure to visit the local nature reserve where the famous Coco de Mer palm tree grows.
We went to the island of La Digue where there are beautiful boulders. It's just a pity the weather was unlucky, it was raining. We were in the capital - the smallest capital in the world, you can get around in an hour. In general, I think that I got an idea about the islands. They are, as they say, all different.
The hotel is very, very. Worthy is not the right word! Everything is new, clean and stylish. There are a lot of people, but no one interferes with each other. Number - just a miracle, above all praise. Large, comfortable, with a great view. A terrace overlooking the sea, and at the same time they are built in such a way, these houses that even if you walk naked, the neighbors do not see you. You can move around the hotel on a buggy, or you can walk, but you get tired quickly, yet the area is very hilly.
Well, in short, you can’t compare with the Maldives. And no worse and no better. Just different. And it's worth it to come here!
