For a long time we struggled with the idea of spending a certain amount on a holiday in the Seychelles.
The dream of the islands, went through the thought "why is it so expensive? "
We chose the largest island of Mahe, we wanted the gentle ocean, the gentle sun, romance, take a walk and see at least a little something.
So about the hotel:
Very nice location, a little away from the bustle of the city, civilization and the public beach of Beau Vallon, in a wonderful and quiet bay. Sandy entrance to the sea and good snorkeling. The beauty of nature and the ocean is indescribable! )
Romantic sunsets and the sound of waves.
They speak at the hotel, and on the island mostly in English. Stock up on translators or repeat your knowledge of the language before the holidays)))
We booked a Junior suite, a two-room suite with a huge bathroom, a bunch of wardrobes and lockers overlooking the ocean, with a large balcony-terrace and a sofa on it. All accessories are included.
And that's where all the good things ended. . .
Strange, but there is no bottled water in the room!! ! They said to dial from the tap (
You need adapters for sockets, though they asked for as much as 1 piece at the reception.
Beach towels in the room, but for some reason so small and decrepit.
In general, everything in the hotel is decrepit and untidy. The bed was not changed even once in 12 days. Cleaning so-and-so, for show. Apparently the staff does not know about the existence of detergents. Huge cockroaches and ants run in the bathroom (((
We go to a restaurant, and here again this "exotic" seats are all covered with birds, they have not been washed or washed for a hundred years, and the napkins under the plates on the table are also in a terrible state, old and dirty (
And the service: the servants are sleepy, or tired, or still indifferent to the guests.
Breakfast is monotonous, but everything is edible. And what is even more surprising - there are practically no vegetables and fruits (
Dinners on the menu, very tasty with a beautiful design, but again, you have to wait, but they did everything very slowly and reluctantly (
The best thing about the hotel is the beach! Beautiful, sandy entrance, romantic sunsets, but again there is a negative - broken sun loungers and no security, there is a path along which everyone who needs to come to the hotel's beach, it is apparently public. And tourists come to the hotel, and who is not lazy. Feeling of a courtyard.
Near the hotel there are shops where you can buy water and essentials.
We walked to the famous Beau Vallon, although it was difficult, they have narrow roads and no sidewalks or roadsides, on one side there is a mountain, on the other a cliff to the sea.
Beau Vallon beach is wide, beautiful, municipal, but again, garbage and dirt are almost everywhere. Dogs and strange local types, dreadlocked and dirty. But it might be their fashion.
We went to Victoria, crowded, noisy, no sights, except for hours in the center. The famous Seychelles coconut can be seen in the botanical garden. And the big turtles are there too. The park is beautiful but small.
I didn't even think it would get such a negative review.
But in spite of everything, we rested, gained strength and experience for the next trip.
If you want romance, don't fly to the Seychelles, it's not worth it! )
