I chose the Savoy hotel purely along the coast. This is always a key moment in our trips. Ebb and flow, bad bottom, dirty beach, lack of shade - straight into the garden. And with Savoy, I did not lose. We traveled all over Mahe and beat on Praline and La Digue. Looking ahead, THE BEACH IN SAVOIE IS EXCELLENT.
So we paid for the trip and I climbed to read the reviews, starting, ess-but, with the worst ones (well, I have such a habit). What can I tell you, friends, if I had read the reviews before, we would not have gone there, to my great sadness. Because I'm not afraid of this word - everything was perfect. Again, so as not to think that I simply have nothing to compare with - there is. We have 5 in the Dominican Republic, Vietnam, Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, a number of Caribbean islands.
Starting with the fact that the staff - Olena at the reception, and Daria in the restaurant did EVERYTHING to make our vacation wonderful. I have a fairly active child of 8 years old, who sometimes "carries", despite all the efforts of the parents. There was absolute and maximum support. Does the baby want to take the bun out of the restik? Here's a box for you to make it more convenient. Does baby want a more ripe papaya? Now let's say in the kitchen, they will cut you. Wants mommy seafood for dinner that's not on today's menu? Tell us about it in advance, we will prepare. Any recommendations, and just a pleasant conversation.
But back to Savoy. Perfect cleanliness in the rooms. New furniture. Clean area. Very tasty food, a lot of fruits, vegetables, cheeses, cold cuts. Themed dinners. The territory is a bit small for my taste, but let's not forget - we are in the Seychelles.
Wi-Fi and wired internet in the rooms. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel - in the building, on the beach, and in restaurants.
Nature generously endowed the Seychelles with beauty - and the hotel supports this gift. A very beautiful, thoughtfully planned territory of the hotel is immersed in greenery and flowers.
The staff is quite friendly, there is a Russian-speaking employee at the reception - for us it was important, because we do not speak foreign languages.
A pretty decent fish restaurant, for a daytime snack and a selection of drinks there is a beach bar - open until late at night and immediately after dinner there is an entertainment program with live music and songs.
There are many restaurants around the hotel where we went for lunch. Very convenient, close, inexpensive, unpretentious, but quite tasty
What did not like. The staff is happy to see you, but works smoothly, without overstressing. If you don't demand, you will be served forever. But there is a way to "make friends" with the servants and treat them like an old acquaintance, and then you will always receive your orders in priority, and if you reinforce friendship with a small amount of tip rupees for your efforts, then you will be accompanied throughout the territory, move sunbeds, bring drinks and guess your every desire, come up to find out how you are doing, and often ask if you need anything. If you can endure this on the beach, then in a restaurant it is very annoying. But then again - this is at the beginning, until you get to know all the waiters. The second minus is that in this country, where there is an abundance of seafood, and the local population sees meat on holidays, they simply do not know how to cook this very meat. So spoil a steak that it turns from a delicious dish into inedible rubber - you have to work hard.
Shortcomings in hotel maintenance were compensated by a chic beach and an even more beautiful magnificent and powerful ocean and raging nature, so that all the sadness faded away and was immediately forgotten as soon as you look away at this beauty
I will note one more plus - this is the service of the host local company - I have rarely seen such clarity, service, courtesy and care. In this regard, we are very fortunate. Any information, any wish - everything was provided and executed instantly. . For this special thanks to them.
For those who have not been to the Seychelles - I recommend to go. Not cheap, but nature, the beach, the ocean and a good hotel are the perfect ingredients for a good tropical getaway experience. Nostalgia for the Seychelles has remained with us. Maybe not so soon, would eat here again, but probably would have chosen another hotel.
