We belong to the category of budget travelers, in the sense that they do not work in the public sector, but prefer something cheaper for an overnight stay, but also for comfort : ). And yes, preferably not on the outskirts. Yep, gotta get it right : ). Well, laughter is laughter, but you need to stop somewhere.
AZIMUT Hotel Uglich was elected as a member of the hotel chain. Chain hotels, as I thought before this meeting, are trying to keep the brand, a single style, a single concept, management there...
Judging by the pictures and a cursory review of the reviews, it was clear that the contents of the hotel were noticeably shabby. But not to the same extent!

The TV is working. Oh, and the refrigerator, in general, well done, without irony. We left strawberries and cherries overnight, and in the morning they were frozen! This is what I mean by quality work. Honestly, I'm not exaggerating. And, here, the air conditioner, which is even there, does not “function”. And this is a very unfortunate fact on such hot days as this summer, moreover, the side is sunny.
Well, with sockets, of course, they didn’t do a lot of them before. Unpretentious. The trick is that not all of the existing ones work either : ).
The bathroom, like a bathroom, smells of mold, in some places it is mouldering. There is liquid soap in the dispenser.
Over the last period of forced passion for traveling around the country, they somehow got used to elementary service even in the most unpretentious hotels, that they even stopped carrying a hair dryer with them (the same small travel hair dryer from their youthful times). There is a hair dryer on request from the administrator. How this process occurs, I did not check. And yes, about these disposable slippers, which are already an obligatory accessory for hotels of any stardom and non-stardom, as it seemed to me: they are, but for 100 rubles. ! Eh, something I relaxed, it's time to return the hair dryer and slippers to your travel bag : ))
Kinds! The views are the main plus of the hotel. "Thousand and five hundred" sunset photos. With moored cruise ships and already without them. With the Kremlin and hydroelectric power station together and separately. The presence of a nice little balcony is very conducive to enjoying these crazy beauties. And what to sit down for this action, and no. Here is the ambush. One chair available in the room, of course, does not save the situation.
Breakfast. Everything looks sad. It tastes… well, what does it taste like… usual table. In general, a snack will come down. Not hungry - and okay. I didn’t even try coffee, I had my own in the room. That's something, but I still carry a travel kettle with me, although it is increasingly becoming a common attribute in the rooms of even simple hotels. The most shocking thing in breakfast, or rather in the dining room, for us was the so-called hot napkins (see photo). No comments.
In fairness, it should be noted that the hotel halls look very decent and dignified. And from a certain angle on the facade of the building - almost a palace. No visible flaking or fraying.
In general, of course, the location of the hotel on the embankment is valid!
More about the hotel economy: there is parking for cars. There is, sort of like a pool for a separate money, but we did not dare to visit it.
Well, what can I say... The idea of the hotel is chic, the location is wonderful, but there is no owner's eye. Honestly, it's even a little insulting for the hotel (and for my three "thousands"). It would be nice to give him a good repair, shake up the staff, open a cute restaurant (it’s hard to call an existing eating establishment a restaurant), a lobby bar (what a gorgeous terrace... it was gorgeous)... Well, what I decided to teach, the owners know better.
On the other hand, if you know about, let's say, the age characteristics of the hotel, and accept them, then maybe it will come in handy for a night or two. Sunsets forgive everything. Although, to be honest, for the same money there were newer options, judging by the pictures : ). But who knows, suddenly, there is an ambush...
Most likely, such a sharp perception-rejection of the hotel happened in contrast. We came from the prettiest hotel "Ekaterina" 4 * in Kostroma. For comparison, you can read in my profile
