Tula - the city of masters
In our vast country, there are many not very large, or even just small cities that we do not hear about daily on radio and television. But they live their own special lives and carefully preserve the historical memory for us.
One such city is quite close to Moscow, two hours away. This is the hero city of Tula. The city is ancient, in the annals it is mentioned before Moscow. Modest people live here, go about their business and do not shout about them. But these deeds are known far beyond the city limits.
Tulyaks are craftsmen in various fields. Who, for example, does not know about the famous Tula samovar? In the museum, specially created for these beauties, you can see both the very first samovars and modern electric wood-burning ones. There is a children's samovar for one small cup (it was made for Tsarevich Alexei), and a giant the size of a barrel, which boils for 3 hours. There are those that were sold by weight, for "ordinary" people, but there are simply precious ones.
Not screaming about its achievements, but from the earliest years standing on the defense of Russia Arms Factory. In the Museum of Weapons you can meet the very first flintlock guns, and the most modern S-300. Here are sports weapons, hunting weapons, and the golden Sword of Victory with precious inlay and portraits of our victorious military leaders.

Most likely, tourists will not take away a large samovar or a military rocket as a souvenir, but who will leave Tula without being loaded with magnificent Tula gingerbread? By the way, in the museum dedicated to these delicacies, you will be treated to a cup of hot tea with gingerbread.
And which of the Russians does not remember the famous Tula Lefty, who managed to shoe the "English" mechanical flea? So, the heirs of Lefty did not lose, they retained their skills. Arriving in Tula, you can see an exact copy of a rifle lying on a grain of rice. Through a microscope, of course. Maybe shoot.
This is the city of ancient Tula craftsmen. Why Hero City? It is not known how much further our Victory would have moved away (that we would have won anyway, there is no doubt), if it were not for the contribution of the Tula people to the Victory. Guderian's tank brigade, nicknamed "Fast Heinz", rushed to Moscow, sweeping away everything in its path. Speed - day-city. One day was also set for Tula. But the small city became a wall on the way to the capital. Not a day, but after 45 days there was nothing left of the "invincible" brigade!
Arriving in Tula, you will see both a monument to these events with an eternal flame, and a new monument to the feat of the Hero of the Soviet Union Viktor Talalikhin. The history of the Great Patriotic War contains many examples of how the brave Soviet falcons, striving to defeat the enemy at all costs, used a ram. Talalikhin used this technique many times, destroyed many enemy vehicles, but died in one of the battles near Moscow. Tulyaks honor his memory.
