Beach resort out of beach season
It so happened that we visited Sochi in the off-season. The trip was short, but very eventful, so I’m talking about it in stages: I published a photo from of a ski resort in a non-ski season , there is a story about Skypark. And now I’ll tell you what I managed to see at the beach resort not in the beach season.
If you already came to Sochi, then why not visit the Olympic Park. And we went! We used bus 57, departing from the Adler railway station to the Olympic Park station. The beauty of this bus is that its route is very winding, long. He passes through several villages. The driver honestly warned us that we would be driving for a long time. But on the other hand, for 19 rubles (ticket price) we got a sightseeing tour of the territory that is there - beyond the Mzymta River - which we remember as summer cottages with wrecked sheds and a mandatory sign on the fence "Caution, angry dog. " The fact is that 10 years ago, in April 2006, we were here. I can’t even believe it, on occasion we bought air tickets Moscow-Sochi-Moscow for 500 rubles, that is, everything cost a thousand for two, we drove to the airport for a thousand))). Now this airline is no more, I don’t even remember the name. It was interesting for us to look at all this. Tidy up, there are sidewalks, the same fences. Yes, perhaps behind these fences there are wrecks, but they are no longer visible, only mini-palaces are visible))). So staring and rejoicing at the changes that have taken place, we got to the Olympic Park. The trouble is that we were right after the end of Formula 1, and then there was some kind of trouble with the entrance and exit to the territory. We walked for a long time, the navigator led to some fences, but we managed, we ourselves did not understand how, we went into the park, which was already unwanted by this time.
Yes, great! Beautiful!
I am glad that all this is not idle, it is used. I didn’t see it myself, but they write))) They looked like, admired, the on-duty photos “Me and the Olympics”, and went further - to the sea. The day is sunny, but the wind is strong and cold. Of course, I won’t risk swimming, but you can wet your paws.
This is the beach opposite the Olympic Park.
Not happy. And the fog started to roll in.
The embankment is excellent.
Due to my nasty nature, I, as always, pay attention to all sorts of nasty things like these.
Well, we are pigs - people! But in general, of course, it’s wonderful to walk there, ride a bike. By the way, about the bike... We wouldn’t mind taking a bike and driving it far away in search of a store or cafe with a sane price tag, in the only institution we stumbled upon it was too expensive, at least for us), but the remedy the movement had to be returned to the same rental point, but we ourselves did not want to return. I had to walk, my legs were indignant - we went by bus.
Here is the center of life - not the Olympic Park at all, but State Farm Russia - this is already closer to the border with Abkhazia. Shops, cafes, canteens - whatever your heart desires. And most importantly, the prices are quite democratic. And again, everything is clean, neat.
A bit bald, of course, but that's okay, it's fixable. Walked around here. This is one of the quarters of the Velvet Seasons.
Enough, I want the sea!
The sea, the sea. . . Despite the fact that the water in the sea, to put it mildly, was not warm, 15 degrees, many took swims.
Well, sunbathing is the best weather! Yes, even with a massage)))
Well, let's open... the swimming season? !
There was some kind of invasion of jellyfish. Boys and girls were delighted when hunting them.
And even more delight when you saw the dancing dolphins. Alas, it is quite far away, so there is no photo.
Great! But no matter how long you sit, you have to go. By all means, I had to take a look at Sochi Park. We walked along the embankment for about 3 kilometers.
Everything is wonderful, beautiful, well-groomed, but there are no toilets. There are pointers, but there is no one where they point : ))). I was interested in several places with people selling nearby, yes, they say, they put signs, but there are no treasured booths, maybe later they will be... A trifle, as they say, but not pleasant...
Wow! Sochi Park!
We looked and did not go. I did not study in detail the information about this park, I thought that it would be possible to go in for a look without paying, it turns out not. It’s just that I don’t ride on a carousel swing, and my husband is not a fan either. They would definitely go with children, but otherwise, they didn’t pay, in general, a decent amount for something that was not interesting.
It would have been possible to hang out somewhere else for a couple of hours and wait for the fountain show in the Olympic Park, but my husband objected, and we went home.
Home - it was not there. As I wrote at the beginning of the story, we were in these parts 10 years ago. And even earlier, our so-called honeymoon trip took place here. That's when I saw the sea for the first time in my life. So, I give the command: exit! And we are already walking along the streets of Adler. Everything seems to be the same: high-rise buildings, the private sector, the same magnolias, and excursion stalls are in the same places. Only everything else: well-groomed, combed, brought to a single style. The beauty!
Only this beauty was “not combed” for some reason.
Of course, we spent the evening at the sea
And already barely dragging their feet, WALKING got to the hotel. Already on the outskirts of the hotel, this geographical masterpiece was discovered.
Well, you can't pass by. For information: the stress, after all, is on the second syllable - HerOta.
Well, I will join this story with a few more photos taken on other days.
We had a flight to Moscow in the evening. Therefore, in the morning we managed to visit Skypark, and then went to Adler. Stocked up with all sorts of different fish at the Adler market
We walked along Democratic Street to the sea and found such a miracle.
Only something was not written, how old is this plane tree. Palm trees have already sprouted on it.
A little further there is Plane Alley, it seems, named after Bestuzhev.
That's where it's probably great, on hot days. But we were not very lucky with hot days, until we reached the sea, the weather somehow deteriorated sharply.
And the fish had to be eaten under an icy wind, it was good that the beer was not cold, the stores had not yet brought the beer cooling to production capacity.
The weather in Sochi for the May holidays this year was, I must say, not Sochi. And then one day in the morning it was raining. Everything would be fine, but a trip to Stalin's Dacha was planned. The taxi helped out, but what we failed to do was to take a walk along the Green Grove itself, breathe in the mountain-coniferous air. We also left by taxi.
As for Stalin's dacha itself, it's a good dacha, I'd like one like this. . .
But seriously, we were interested. I like these interiors, no frills.
I liked the guide, he gives information without unnecessary comments and ratings - good or bad - he just talks about some moments in the life of a famous person that happened within these walls. Of the minuses - perhaps few rooms are available for inspection.
Rain is not eternal. The minimum program for a walk in Sochi itself was completed by: Riviera Park,
Sea Port,
promenade and beach,
The heroes of the "Diamond Hand" (well, they are completely different).
Here was our first ever water park. It seems worth it, but some kind of sad.
Everything around is prettier, transformed. Beautiful buildings, good sidewalks, well-groomed parks.
But for some reason, for me, Adler is nicer, cozier, easier or something.
And, as expected, in the conclusion of their own conclusions))). If you decide to spend your vacation or weekend in Sochi, do not hesitate - go. And no matter winter or summer, there is always something to do. There is no need to be afraid of some kind of "sovietness", everything here is good, decent. Sochi has noticeably changed, prettier and more comfortable. And most importantly: do not compare with other resorts, countries, coasts. After all, if you think about it, everything has its pros and cons.
