Hotel ratings by criteria:
Rested with a family with a child of 9 years in August 2008.
1. Cost. Disproportionately high with the level of service received. The price is European, and the level of service in the hotel is "soviet".
2. Room. We rested in a high-rise building in an enlarged room (because we needed a third bed). For 6200 from two adults and 2100 from a child, they received a room of about 16 meters (+ a loggia of about 10 meters) with two single beds (there are NO DOUBLE BEDS AT ALL) and a folding bed. The furniture is from the 70s. From the same time, it seems, and mattresses. The room has a refrigerator, air conditioning, landline phone. Bathroom combined. For such money, the room can be equipped with modern furniture. The corridors are worn carpets from the same time.

3. Room service. Room cleaning was on top - like in the best resorts. We did not see or hear the cleaning lady, everything was cleaned and wiped clean. The request for a kettle, cups, spoons (we love to drink coffee with my wife on the loggia in the morning) was fulfilled within a minute (we didn’t have time to get up from the “reception” to the room - but everything was already brought).
4. "Reception". Competent qualified staff. They know everything by heart. They help you navigate the area. Unobtrusive in the offer services. Very comfortable and well-equipped safe room. I noticed that the cells are selected taking into account the growth of customers (the top ones are high). A trifle, but nice.
5. Nutrition. This is where the big fly in the ointment lies. We put up with the lack of spicy, fried and fatty foods - after all, a sanatorium and you need to eat right. The quality of ordered dishes is excellent - like at home. Variety is average. But mixed-choice-buffet meals are a food race. It looks like this: one dish is ordered for each meal, and the rest is a buffet. In quotation marks, because what is happening does not look like a normal understanding of this term. The counters are placed in SEMI !!!!!! ! places around the hall. The amount of products laid out on them is scanty. Apparently, to compensate for this fact, cups for kefir and compote, for example, with a capacity of 100 grams. Cheese and sausage are laid out end-to-end on a tray. Tiny pieces of cheese on a tray are enough for 6 - 7 people. And the rest have to wait. A jug of yogurt (people stupidly took normal cups from the table with tea) is also enough for 6-7 people. By the way, there weren’t enough cups either and we had to wait. There aren't even enough plates. When I asked when they would bring the dishes, I once received the answer “I’ll collect it now, wash it and bring it. ” Coffee "three in one" in bags served for breakfast is no longer bought by guest workers. They know it's all chemistry. The penultimate straw was a table with fruit for dinner. On a simple deep plate (not a dish), cut pieces into 10 apples or pears. Not entirely - in pieces. Apparently in order not to be taken out of the dining room (which is a warning on the doors). And the last one, which struck on the spot, was the picture of laying out bananas for dinner. CUTTED IN PIECES IN THE SKIN!!!!! ! Lord! It's the month of August! High fruit season. Only plums, served in saucers on the table, were uncut. According to the employees of the dining room (I took my word for it), the diet is based on 200 rubles. per person per day.
6. Bar. Works in the evenings from about 20-00. Air conditioning is not included - just open the door to the street. The choice of drinks is average, snacks are mostly dry (chips, nuts, snickers, fish for beer, etc. ). From hot snacks - ready-made pizza, which is heated in the microwave. There is no one to prepare the cocktails stated in the menu. The person behind the counter is not a bartender at all. Just a saleswoman. And quite unskilled. When preparing alcoholic cocktails, he reads the recipe on the bottle without any embarrassment and simply pours the ingredients into a glass. It looks like the shaker is not her tool. Non-alcoholic milkshakes are diluted with water in front of the client, and ice is placed in a bowl for whipping with hands. When the ice runs out (it is brought from the dining room ahead of time, since the dining room is open until 20-00), the cocktail is prepared without ice. Burda is still the same. Coffee instead of a coffee machine, which is in the bar, is prepared in a plastic electric cezve. It turns out tasteless and instead of foam - pop-up coffee. The same girl occasionally cleans dirty dishes from the tables. Service is slow. At the same time, prices are at the level of a real bar.

7. Entertainment for children. The animator for children is frankly weak, but seeks to entertain children in a variety of ways. I really liked the competition in the pool "Pump Show". An hour and a half of intense competitions for all age groups with prizes, laughter and jokes. There is a playground with swings and a slide. They show cartoons and movies in the cinema hall.
8. Entertainment for young people. A disco, which is held on a site with strong lighting in front of the buildings, and songs repeated every day, absolutely does not attract anyone. There is no host, the atmosphere for dancing too. Billiards for 100 rubles. plunged into despair in an hour. The table is crooked, with steps, old cloth with ruts on the sides. Nice table at Stalin's dacha. But 50 euros per batch.
9. Beach. Wonderful elevators (100 meters!!! ) and a tunnel of 200 meters. It was disappointing that there was no coating on the slippery polished concrete floor. In a nearby sanatorium, a path was laid on the floor - artificial cut grass. It's much safer to go. The beach is large and clean, there are enough sunbeds, a lot of equipment for rent. There are boats, jet skis, etc. Rescuers keep their eyes on the sea, but there are no rude shouts. A doctor is on duty, who constantly informs by loudspeaker about the peculiarities of the weather and its impact on health. There is a cafe and a fruit kiosk.
10. Territory. Huge coniferous green and rugged terrain. There are rough corners in places. But they give the walk a certain romance. A truly unique place in terms of air currents - a combination of sea and mountain. There are benches and lighting throughout. Since the building is about 100 meters higher than the road, a free bus is organized from the checkpoint and back according to the schedule. The last one rises at 24-00. Although, if you wish, you can take a leisurely walk. It takes 15 minutes.
11. Shops. Two permanent - grocery and manufactured goods. "Pedlars" come with various goods (silver, souvenirs, furs, cosmetics).
12. Excursions. Standard set for Sochi. The only surprise is the cost of transportation. For example, to the dolphinarium - 200 rubles per person. For 15 minutes on the "gazelle" is a bit much.

13. Medical care. Doctors are knowledgeable and attentive. The resort book when issued on the spot costs 450 rubles. Complicated blood test - 1000 rubles. Very good masseurs, wonderful and attentive staff of the hydropathic and inhalatory. Treatments prescribed by a doctor are free of charge. There is a doctor on duty on the 6th floor around the clock.
Conclusion (ours, we do not claim to be an expert opinion):
They knew where they were going. They knew it was expensive. They wanted to relax at sea in Russia and get medical treatment.
Expectations were justified. But the unpleasant aftertaste from the "race for food" remained.
I am writing a review for those who have other purposes of rest.
