It was not easy to bring me to this beautiful place, and China seems to be at hand, but it seems still Russia. I must say that there are not many Chinese in the city. It was not easy to bring me to this beautiful place, and China seems to be at hand, but it seems still Russia. I must say that there are not many Chinese in the city. But the most important local entertainment is trips to China and Manchuria on minibuses for a day or two.
As for the hotel, in general, everything was not as bad as it could be!
But it is immediately clear that this is a former working hostel. True, shortly before our arrival, repairs were made, which benefited the hotel. The rooms are like apartments in an ordinary house, but there is everything you need, a bedside table, a couple of chairs.
The chair in the room is more expensive. I lived in a three-room apartment, the room was considered female, but there was only a dressing table with a mirror and a socket in one room. So if you like to dry your hair with a hairdryer in front of a mirror, then either bring a mirror with you, or ask the hotel staff for an extension cord (maybe you can do it). We were very surprised that according to the norms for one apartment there is one knife, and there are 4 guests! It's good that at least there were 4 forks and a couple of spoons, plates and cups. There were even wine glasses! But with the dishes at that time it was very bad, we were given only one saucepan for 3 apartments, although there was a stove in each apartment. As for the service, do not flatter yourself, we only washed the dishes once, only when several guests left the apartment. Yes, and the maids are very peculiar, they live life with the principle that the maid is an employee, not a servant, and she is not obliged to clean up after you.
I advise you to eat in local establishments carefully, if health allows, then you are welcome to dining room No. 6, it is not far from the hotel and almost everyone you meet will point you to the question of where to eat. When we entered the dining room, I thought we were in a time machine, everything is like in the old days, queues, aluminum dishes, greasy trays, no more than two napkins in one hand... But these are the principles, in my personal opinion, spoiled in person food! Do not be afraid they will feed you, they will not poison you.
For people as fastidious as me, there is a Rus restaurant (not far from the hotel) and another good restaurant almost on the edge of the city (almost close by Moscow standards, we returned on foot for about 30 minutes at a walking pace), but, unfortunately, I don’t remember the name. Or, in extreme cases, there is a 24-hour supermarket (next to the Rus restaurant), so you won’t starve to death! : )
But I strongly advise you not to walk around this beautiful city alone in the evening. The locals that you can meet at this time on the street are mainly represented by local youth who move around the city only in groups, you will immediately recognize them by their appearance: a leather cap, a jacket, it feels like you are in the distant 90s.
As for local attractions, you will not see many of them in a day. Ask the hotel administrator, they will show you everything! If you are too lazy to walk, take a taxi, they only have 50 rubles.
Yes, keep in mind that the door of the hotel is closed at night, if you are late - knock louder, you will be heard! : )
In general, the hotel is decent, I was especially pleased with the bill for accommodation, given that I lived in a suite for half the stay, and the second in a regular room, the amount of 6 thousand rubles pleasantly surprised me.
So you are welcome!
