Fairy tale tour to the festival "Great Bolgar" in Bolgar
I want to share my impressions of traveling to the city of Bolgar - to the knightly festival "Great Bolgar" on August 12-13.2017. Went on tour with my husband and we both loved it! For a long time I wanted to see the city of Bolgar (I heard a lot about its underground museum and the famous white mosque), and my husband (like many men on the tour) was, of course, “hooked” by a knightly duel! The organization of the tour was at a high level: the guide Galina told us information about the cities of our destination, entertained us with quizzes, and the driver Alexei took us to the hotel with high quality and safety - for which special thanks to them! We devoted the first day entirely to the festival, we were taken to all the venues, told about the history of the creation of this event, showed what and where it will take place, and was also pleasantly surprised by a sweet surprise from the organizers). We were especially impressed by the equestrian battles, it was just “WOW”, the people stood spellbound, the heat of passion was intensified by the presence of ambulances close to the stands (no one needed them, but it was felt that here, indeed, “everything is real "! ). We walked until late in the evening (attended a master class in medieval dances, visited a real forge, tried on Khan's outfits and armor, shot from a bow, and even made a souvenir with our own hands - a clay pot! ), We returned to the hotel simply exhausted, but very happy ! The whole next day was devoted to museum complexes: we saw the largest printed Koran, the modern museum of the Bulgar civilization, and in our free time we walked to a very beautiful white mosque!
