We went on New Year's holidays to walk around Kazan. We chose between the Regina Hotel on Peterburgskaya and Baumen. Stopped for the second. And good. The hotel is unremarkable in appearance, but quite cozy. Not a lot of rooms, respectively, and not a lot of people. The location is super. Right on the main street, close to all the fun.

We also got a room with a view of Baumen Street and the Chaliapin Hotel, which was very beautifully illuminated in the evening. The rooms are clean, spacious, standard, although indeed (as it was written in the reviews) smoky, but the street was very cold all the days and there was enough siphon from the windows (the windows are not plastic). Breakfast is normal, average, it was included in the price, I was full and even from my half, as usual, I didn’t hear much indignation: juice, a cheese sandwich, hot noodles with a cutlet or sausages, pancakes, cake or rolls, be sure to yogurt and tea. Basically enough. Once we had lunch and dinner in the same cafe - very well.
The staff is not intrusive, no one can be seen or heard, but the cleaning is every day, and the linen is changed once in 6 days.
I liked Kazan itself, we managed to visit wherever we planned, even hit the road to the temple of all religions. Kulsharif is a very beautiful mosque, I have never seen such a mosque. It's interesting just to even wander along the main street - "local Arbat", there are a lot of cafes along the way, everywhere you can have a bite not very expensive and decent!
6 days was enough for the eyes. But in the summer I think it's generally wonderful! Maybe we'll go anyway.

The room is very cold. The batteries are barely warm. Slept under two blankets. The additional electric heater installed in the room did not help either. In the morning it was impossible to take a shower, the water was a little warm. After a night in the hotel, Regina woke up with a runny nose. Spoiled vacation.
