We were in Kazan on May 1, we stayed at the Bulak hotel, a studio room, two double beds and a sofa bed, large wardrobes, a TV, a small refrigerator, everything is very clean and comfortable, the repair is good, shampoo gels, clean linen and towels, remained very satisfied, did not expect from 2 * (there is something to compare), the staff is polite and friendly, just super, thank you very much.
The location of the hotel is really very convenient, on the banks of the Bulak river, it is very romantic to take a walk in the evening, 5 minutes to the Bauman walking street, 15 minutes to the Kremlin, we walked along Bauman towards the Kremlin, then along the street. Petersburg, it is even more beautiful there and from there take the metro to the Kremlin station, which, respectively, is near the Kremlin. To the railway station 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel, 5-10 minutes to the collective farm market, where there is everything for an unpretentious traveler.
In the building of the hotel cafe Eurasia, Uzbek and Japanese cuisine, very tasty and good service, but not cheap, although not very expensive, for four 1000 only food. We also ate at the Self-Assembly Tablecloth cafe near the Riviera Aqua Park (Sibgata Khakim, 33), above all praise, homemade food with large pieces of meat, ate four of us for 350 rubles. On the corner of Musa Jalil and Bauman, next to the monument to the Kazan Cat, the Evening Cafe is decently decorated, quite tasty and inexpensive, for some reason also Uzbek and Japanese cuisine. If you go to the Riviera Aqua Park, keep in mind that bags are checked there and all food is removed, and it is very expensive to eat and drink in the water park itself. I liked the Aqua Park itself, it is especially good for children under 8 years old, and for adults there are no "terrible" slides, in Yekaterinburg we have a "terrible" one, although of course the Aqua Park itself is much smaller.

Kazan was struck by some kind of devastation, houses 10 meters from the main streets through one are either dilapidated or simply VERY tattered, horror.
