Природа хорошая, а вот сервис подкачал. The nature is good, but the service let us down.

This is our first visit to Dombay. We specially went in the autumn to admire nature and, so to speak, to check out the environment for a trip in the skiing season. From the very beginning, the mood was spoiled by the fact that we were traveling in a cold and terribly uncomfortable bus (the backs of the seats did not fall down, but we drove at night). There were 2 stops along the way, and taking into account the fact that it was terribly cold, the passengers needed more often =), and the angry drivers, when asked, did not stop. But these are already the disadvantages of our local Taganrog tour operator (Sputnik South, aka pike perch travel). We had two accommodation options. The first is the ITC "Mountain Peaks" and the second is the private hotel "Vertical". At the time of the purchase of the tour there were only rooms in the hotel "Vertical" and, thank God! ITC "Mountain Peaks" is a soviet structure, with terrible cold rooms. The hotel we stayed in is a small four-story house with two types of rooms: with facilities per block and with facilities in the room (I thought that "comfort per block" was a thing of the past). We got a triple room for two, because. all doubles were occupied. The room consisted of a room and a combined bathroom. In general, the room was not bad (3 beds, a table, bedside tables, a wardrobe, a refrigerator and a TV with satellite TV), but no one cleaned the bathroom before our arrival and no one wiped the dust from the windowsill either. Washed linen, who does not disdain, can use the issued towels =). During the day, apparently, they did not drown, but at night it was good to sleep, it was warm. This hotel is located next to the new cable car, soaring cabins could be seen from the windows. Meals were not provided in our hotel, and we took breakfast and dinner at the Mountain Peaks MTC. Went there for food only 2 times. It’s just that I can’t eat this, it seems that everything is from ordinary products, the portions are large, there is a lot of meat, but it’s tasteless and somehow soviet, and it’s already the 21st century in the yard. Therefore, we went to different cafes, mostly the service is terrible (dirty dishes, broken plates) and the prices are too high, but we found one hotel and a cafe with it, it was tasty and neat. Beware! under the guise of a mutton barbecue, they can sell one from a goat!
On the first day there was an excursion to the waterfall, 6 km on foot there and the same back. It's not worth it! We have seen waterfalls before, but the nature is beautiful, autumn was golden. I have not seen snowy mountains before, for the sake of this we went). I really wanted to ride the cable cars. I was glad that the new lifts were already working. We climbed all the peaks. There are different cafes at each halt. For me, these sensations are new, so I liked it! We went to Teberda, to be honest, we expected more from the Teberdinsky State Biosphere Reserve, somehow everything is sad there. We went to a trout farm, also nothing unusual. It was just a good autumn weather and nature pleased with its beauties. True, in Dombay, construction is underway at every meter, and there is no end in sight. This is upsetting.
Despite the apparent disadvantages, we liked it. You can come back just to go skiing or snowboarding. But, most likely for these purposes we will choose something more comfortable. Yes, at least the same Bulgaria =) I'll go read the reviews.
