During the rest, we learned that more than 70 craftsmen work in Mandrogi every year during the season. Each master is charismatic and unique in his own way. We chose a forge, felting and carving mammoth bones.
Another distinctive feature of Mandrog is that you do not live in an ordinary hotel, but in huts with carved facades, architraves and balconies. Those. everything is like in the old days.
There are both new buildings and old houses, they are over 100 years old. There is a hut that is over 200 years old. Craftsmen work in old huts, in new ones you can stay for several days, stay overnight. We chose a smart house (house No. 5) of bright red color as a place of residence, a very cozy interior, pleasant colors and a sunny mood emanating from the volumes and decorations of the interior decoration.
Near the houses there is the Svir River, cruise ships go along it, awesome sunsets in the evenings in good weather, you can make super shots!
From entertainment there is still horse riding (many horses of different breeds, very beautiful, well-groomed horses). We didn’t ride, somehow it wasn’t very good with horses, but we went to the bathhouse in the evening, we sat very well, the herbal tea with strawberries that the bathhouse attendants prepared for us kept our tone, and by about 11 o’clock in the evening we just went home - towers u003d)
In general, 2-3 days is the ideal time to stay in Mandrogi to try all the basic services and on a budget to get it right. It is better to go with the whole family, it may not be very suitable for young couples, but if you love nature, it will also be great.
All the best!
