Новый год в Питере New Year in St. Petersburg

My boyfriend and I decided to celebrate the New Year in St. Petersburg. We chose the program at the Fakeltour travel agency and the St. Petersburg hotel with dinner at the hotel restaurant. The organization of the Fakeltour trip has no complaints, in St. Petersburg we were served by the company "Russian City" also no complaints. Everything according to the program, good guides, excursions - in general, everyone is satisfied.
Hotel "St. Petersburg:
Pros:
1) The biggest plus in the superior rooms (we took this one) is the view of the cruiser Aurora, and for the new year it is still illuminated with New Year's bridges - this is certainly unforgettable!
2) the room is clean
3) if you walk along the embankment, then in 30-40 minutes you can walk to the palace square
Minuses:
1) the hotel is old, so the furniture is not very new, although it is much better than in LDM
2) when the wind was in our windows, it was cool in the room
3) the windows are dirty!

We did not like the New Year's banquet - no entertainment program, only live music. Because all the people are newcomers, it is clear that they are strangers, so the banquet was more like a wake: everyone ate and drank, talked and got to know each other at their own table.
I personally did not like the table itself, but as I say: "there are no comrades for the taste and color"
By the way, I was struck by the breakfast at the hotel: I liked the buffet, there is something for everyone to choose and you won’t leave hungry for sure! A table with salads, different muesli, juices (natural, not dry), cereals, scrambled eggs, sausages, meatballs, pancakes, pasta, potatoes, various cuts, etc.
Plumbing worked, the room had air conditioning, TV, disposable soap, shampoo, in general, the minimum set of necessary things was.
Conclusion: we liked it, because there is something to compare with, in St. Petersburg 3 times, the hotel "Saint Petersburg" is the best of all those that we have been (LDM and Primorskaya on the bypass canal - now it is called differently). If we go again, and I have no doubt about it, we will go to St. Petersburg!
