We arrived in St. Petersburg in the afternoon. We went to "Bistro" (24 hours, to the left of Gostiny Dvor) with free wifi. We ate quite normally for 550 rubles for two and at the same time found a hotel through Booking. com.

It turned out to be a mini-hotel, there are only 7 or 8 rooms. It is located at the entrance of an ordinary residential building on the 3rd floor (unfortunately there is no elevator). The sign at the entrance is completely inconspicuous.
But there are pluses - the reception is open 24 hours. The ladies at the reception are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is decorated in a rustic style.
If you've ever leafed through an Ikea catalog, then the design (and many items in the room) is from there. In general, the rooms can even be called quite pretty.
Of the pluses, you can also name a kettle in the room, and even tea bags for free, a hairdryer in the bathroom, disposable shower caps, there is a large kitchen-dining room where you can pour water from a bottle into the kettle around the clock.
Printouts of excursions with prices hang at the reception (the same firms as near Gostiny Dvor). You can also ask for a free card (there were quite a few coupons with good discounts in different cafes, such as -15% in Yakitoria).
At first we were offered a double room 13, but its windows overlooked the street. Chekhov (shower in the room) and we were offered a triple room 8 for the same price, with windows to the courtyard (the room has a full bathroom and even air conditioning - it is not in all rooms).
We thought that the windows to the courtyard were a better option. But not quite - because.
During the night, the air conditioner on the house across the street was noisy.
There is also a small LCD TV on the wall in the room.
It must be borne in mind that the hotel was clearly converted from a former communal apartment, and therefore the bathrooms have Sololift-type forced water drainage systems, so it’s a bit unusual when a motor that drains water buzzes from time to time when taking a shower.
The bathroom has a battery-dryer with jokes. If you wash - it is hot. And then it cools down. So drying things is problematic. But you can give something to wash at the reception (150r for 1 bookmark).
The hotel has a rather significant minus, which turns out only at night - rather thin walls that stand on the common floor. And the floorboards under the linoleum creak quite loudly.
But overall the hotel is quite quiet.
Despite this, I didn't get much sleep.
Maybe it's the energy of an old communal apartment? )))
What else ...there is free wifi, which was important for us.
And, as I understand it, they even seem to be able to rent a laptop for a fee.
Very close to the hotel there is a round-the-clock "Coffee House" (with wifi), on Zhukovsky all sorts of cafes, canteens, a convenience store.
And at the exit to Nevsky from Liteiny - sushi "Two sticks" (without Wifi).
Breakfast is included in the room rate. And it will be done at the right time for you.
