Settled in the side building, the settlement was quick. Wifi worked in the room. The rooms got very small. The room butted fit 2 single beds, one bedside table, one chair and a table (under which there was a mini-bar), on which there was a TV. There was simply no room for a closet. Just behind the door is a hanger with a pair of hangers. There was nowhere to hang or put your things. The room is clearly designed to - spend the night, and not live in it, for a while. The bathroom is also small, but that didn't bother us.
The water cooler was located at the beginning of the corridor, near the elevator, which is also not convenient, given that the corridors are long.
The hotel has a good buffet breakfast. Liked the variety and good selection.
Good location of the hotel - close to the center, 10 minutes walking distance to the subway.
Pleasant and polite staff. And if you are planning to spend 1-2 nights at the hotel, it is quite possible to consider.
In all other respects, including food, everything suited us, we liked the rooms. The rooms have soft beds, minimal audibility.
Thanks to the hotel for a pleasant stay.
Breakfasts are varied and delicious. The rooms are clean.
Advantages of the hotel: relatively spacious room, daily garbage removal and change of towels in the room, linen was changed every 2 days. Friendly staff, delicious and varied breakfast, great sky bar on the 18th floor.
Disadvantages: a lot of mosquitoes (the mesh on the window was torn), poor lighting in the room, 15-20 minutes walk to the metro station, no hot water for 2 days, unsuccessful old (eastern) building with its long endless corridors.
When booking, be sure to specify the central (western) building in advance.
Comfortable room. Room service is top notch.
Breakfast varied and plentiful
Check in to the hotel was quick and pleasant.
The area is very beautiful, there is a parking lot.
Breakfast Buffet, large and good selection.
At the Azimut Hotel, I lived not in the main building, but in the annex. Gentlemen, the horror is still the same. The paths on the 3rd floor are all stained, only garbage is removed in the rooms, the dust lies in a thick layer and during my stay there, never did not wipe.
The towel was all stained, and even with hair, probably from the previous residents.
The carpet in the room is also stained.
The bedspreads on the beds, all in yellow spots. But the bed linen was fresh and white
There is nothing to drink water from, not only in the room, but also on the floor by the cooler.
The view from the window struck me, the garbage can. It’s scary to open the window itself, because it looks like everything will fall apart, everything is shabby. The room is poorly ventilated through the window.
There is no wardrobe in the room, only hangers at the entrance.
One of the three elevators is not adjusted, the doors open and close as they please
Soundproofing is terrible.
For such money, it was possible to clean better and improve comfort.
The hotel has 2 buildings - the main and Fontanka. Fontanka has its own entrance from the side of the canal, it is very convenient to return from walks in this way.
Breakfast is served in the main building, which can be reached via a covered walkway. The food is quite decent, no worse than in European hotels (in Debrecen, Hungary, it came across much worse). Sausages, sausages, cheeses, eggs - boiled and scrambled eggs, various vegetables, bananas and oranges, cereals, pastries, milk, coffee, tea, juices. . .
Everything was great, except for one moment... The rooms are terribly hot and stuffy! There are no air conditioners on the Fontanka. And the heated towel rail in the bathroom fries so... Both open windows did not help much. After complaints from tourists, the "degree" of the dryers was slightly reduced, but this did not help much. The employees explained that it is often damp and cold in St. Petersburg, so usually the locals have the opposite problem - how to install more batteries and keep warm.
In the summer of 2014, both buildings were being repaired with might and main. But we must admit that they did it quietly, carefully, at the time of day when the hotel was empty, they did not cause any inconvenience to anyone.
In general, the hotel is good. The furnishings of the "Standard" room were quite satisfactory. The room is of a normal size and does not seem small, and in general you can dance in the bathroom - too spacious. Tables, bedside tables, beds look brand new. The TV, however, is by no means flat, but it showed normally. After all, when you show up to your room late in the evening after the tours, there is not much time to look at the screen. The main thing is the sound! And the news was perfectly audible even from the bathroom)). But in the summer, I would advise tourists to take rooms in the main building - they say it is cooler there and there are air conditioners almost everywhere. But in winter and in cooler weather, you can go to the Fontanka.
