We rested at the Globus + base in the summer of 2011. The base is good. In the evening it is illuminated with lanterns. There is access to the sandy shore of the Katun with a beautiful view of the mountains.
But I want to warn people about EXCURSIONS. Draw your own conclusions - do you need such excursions and do you want to spoil your nerves on vacation with unpleasant communication with dishonest organizers of your leisure time.
This is a rip-off in broad daylight! It is cheaper to take a taxi and visit all the places offered by tour companies. Taxi phone numbers are at the base administrator. An example is an excursion to Lake Manzherok, where they will tell you that Edita Piekha sang a song there for the Soviet-Mongolian youth festival, and that the “chilim” nut is harvested on the lake - it costs 550 rubles per person, of which 300 rubles. delivery, 250 rub. – the price for a chairlift to the mountain Malaya Sinyukha. It turns out that for four people delivery from a tour company is 1200, and a taxi will cost you 150 rubles per car. There is a difference.

An excursion to Lake Aya and the "devil's finger" costs 700 rubles. from a person. Taxi 400-500 rubles. Tarzanka, catamarans on the lake are not included in the price of the tour!
But the most interesting thing is the “round the world tour in the Altai Mountains”. This includes a trip to the Chemal hydroelectric power station with a visit to the island of Patmos to the temple of St. Macarius, a visit to the tourist centers "Royal Hunt", "Turquoise Katun", Kamyshlinsky waterfall, Tavdinsky caves, Arzhan-su spring. This pleasure costs 1000 rubles. from a person. It's certainly interesting to watch. But again, they take you, of course, they will tell you something, and then they themselves. Run along the goat path in order to be in time for the appointed time back. Passage to the Kamyshlinsky waterfall on a suspension bridge (30 rubles) through the "Royal Hunt". There is no tour of the base itself. And you may not see the waterfall and caves if it rains (MONEY WILL NOT RETURN). Our group was caught in the rain on the way to the waterfall, then according to the plan there were caves. As a result, we did not get to these two objects. The excursion company argued that the weather conditions do not depend on them, and that we ourselves refused to go. Although we did not reach the waterfall because the guide himself said that 2 km. walking through the forest is dangerous - mud, slippery, lightning, and there are small children in the group. And the waterfall itself will be dirty, there is nothing to do there in such weather. The caves are generally closed when it rains. This person promised to finish the tour another day or return the money. We were taken to the caves the other day, but from the track on foot! But people never got to the waterfall and the money was not returned. The head of the company gave a thrashing to the poor guide, who, in his sincere simplicity, promised to return the money or continue the tour. So draw your own conclusions and be vigilant.
The price for excursions separately to the Kamyshlinsky waterfall is 350 rubles, to the Tavdinsky caves 300 rubles.
The caves, by the way, are located on the opposite bank of the Globus + base. You can actually get there on foot. First, 1.5 km to the base "Turquoise Katun", go to it along the bridge and turn left (you can through the forest, there is also a monument to Roerich). Entrance to the caves 50 rubles. Tour guides are there, they will tell and show everything. And the source of Arzhan-su is just opposite the bridge to the "Turquoise Katun" near the market.

Have a nice holiday!
