When we first started thinking about where to stay in Sintra to see its sights, this hotel-villa caught our eye. And we fell in love with him from the photos. While developing a travel plan and looking for appropriate tickets, it turned out that there are no more seats on the right dates. We didn't even want to think about another option! So we moved the date of the visit and - a miracle! - There were places for our dates. We spent an unforgettable three days in Sintra at the Sintra Jardin Hotel, from May 28 to 31.2019.
The hotel is very well located: 10 minutes walk on the street. Murtas to the center of Sintra and the National Palace, 20 minutes walk to the Pena Palace, 15 minutes to the Quinta da Rigaleira Palace, 10 minutes to the train to Lisbon. Right next to the hotel there is a bus stop to all the palaces for people who do not like or can not walk. In front of the hotel is a tourist center.
The hotel is so atmospheric, so homely! Arranged in a 19th century villa. Only two floors.

It has a large area, its own garden and a beautiful pool in the yard. And from the terrace of the hotel you can see the castle of the Moors. The situation is very friendly, everyone is smiling, helping everyone they can. The staff speaks English (not Russian).
We had a late check-in: after 22 hours. The hotel reception is open until 23:00. But we have previously written to the hotel that our plane arrives at 20 o'clock in Lisbon, and we will be in a hurry to make it to 23 o'clock. We were told from the hotel that if we stayed, all we had to do was call and they would wait for us and check us in. And we were really waiting, we were immediately given the keys, a map of Sintra with the sights marked on it and the best way to get there, bus stops, inexpensive cafes, restaurants and a supermarket, as well as a tourist center.
We explained that we can swim in the pool at least at night, in two cozy large living rooms watch TV at least in the morning, and on the outdoor terrace overlooking the Moorish castle to spend both day and evening. (By the way, for the evening, there are carefully stored blankets and lamps with candles inside. We have not met a more gentle and caring attitude towards guests.
The room is large, 20 meters in Provencal style. High ceilings, about 4 meters, high paneled doors, ancient castles. Huge double bed, TV, Wi-Fi router right in the room! And the bathroom! It's just a work of art! Large, cozy, with bath and bidet. A beautiful picture of a bouquet of flowers is laid out on a tiled wall. In general, feel like an aristocrat!
Breakfast was served in the morning. He was amazing!
Slices of ham, sausages and cheese, mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, olives, bread of several kinds, hot toasts and croissants, cereals, muesli and yogurt. Fresh: tangerine, orange and apple juices! We ate in the afternoon. And the main thing is the attitude! As not in every "five".
Cleaning daily and so as not to disturb you. It is unknown when they will be able to clean the room, but cleanliness and change of towels every day.
Three days flew by very quickly! We would like to stay there longer! But our plans were to visit the ocean. So we regretfully left this cozy hotel, immersed in greenery.

Many thanks to all the hotel staff for their respect for the guests, and our wonderful vacation!
Thank you!
