We rested in Eshtaril in May, everything is super. We swam, sunbathed, drank excellent wine. The staff at the hotel is very friendly. The room was cleaned daily, very clean. The food corresponds to three stars. The ocean is a 5 minute leisurely walk. You can swim, but the ocean invigorates (20-22 degrees) I was very pleased with the prices for food, with the exception of meat.

Located 5 minutes walk from the train station, reach from Lisbon 25 minutes by train from Cais do Sodre station. We got to the Lisbon airport ourselves by train to Cais do Sodrert (all for 3.5 euros). It was the first time in Portugal, we used the "Around the World" guide.

I really liked the hotel. We have experience of traveling around Europe and holidays in the resorts of Italy and Spain. First time in Portugal. In our opinion, the hotel pulls even 4 stars. Magnificent view from the restaurant to the ocean, although we did not need it: we had a room with an ocean view. The view is ordered specially and the supplement is 14 euros per person/day.

The hotel is not cheap, but the search for a cheap home turned up nothing. Near the railway station, the train to Lisbon takes 30 minutes, the cost is 3.5 euros. To get to Sintra with a stop at Cape Roca (bus 403) you need to go to Cascais (20-30 minutes). All the shops in the same place, in Estoril found only one supermarket and that is very expensive. The ocean is cold, people "piss" in it and no one swims. In general, Portugal is more expensive than the south of Spain (Malaga region). We won't go a second time.

Rested in this hotel in June 2009 after a week-long grand tour. Of course, after 4-5 * palaces, this hotel seemed cramped to me (a bed, a wardrobe, a bedside table, a refrigerator with a TV set mounted on it and a desk that only fits a lamp). But, in 2-3 days I got used to it and began to consider the room cozy (the main thing is not to forget that the room is designed for one not very large person).

But, in 2-3 days I got used to it and began to consider the room cozy (the main thing is not to forget that the room is designed for one not very large person).
So, I got a corner room with a side view of the ocean (but this is truly a luck, because if you don’t book an ocean view in advance, then there is a high probability of getting a view of the “inner courtyard”, or, to put it simply, garbage cans, pipes and other delights of the industrial peace).
A full panorama of the ocean could be enjoyed during breakfast - the restaurant is located on the 4th floor (the hotel is separated from the beach by a railway and another street with some low-rise villas or mini-hotels, so the 4th floor is the best solution for a terrace).
I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of a mini-bar, a digital safe and a hairdryer in the room, as well as daily cleaning of the room.
An unpleasant experience was "communication" with the electrician: in normal access (i. e. not to climb behind the cabinet to pull the plug from the refrigerator or TV) there was only one outlet, and it had to be handled very gently: one awkward movement - and it falls out along with the wires into your hands.
If we talk about what is around: 150-200 meters to the beach (the path lies through the railway station, from where trains go to Lisbon), on the next street there are several cafes and a couple of supermarkets. In general, shopping centers, boutiques and souvenir shops are easier to find in the neighboring city (3 km) or in Lisbon (25 km - trains run every 20 minutes).
And of course, a few words about the beach: small but cozy, although this place always had very strong waves, so the hotel pool was terribly popular : )
