In the morning we went to see the Capodimonte Museum, located in the former palace (summer residence) of the Bourbons in the city park of Capodimonte. Two weeks earlier, Naples, as well as all of Italy, was hit by hurricanes and the museum was closed for some time.

After busy days around Naples, we devoted the last three days of our trip to the city itself. We have been on group sightseeing trips around Italy several times and each time we were surprised that many would agree to an additional excursion from Rome to Naples for one day.

On the fourth day of our trip, we decided to make the most of the Artekard Campania tourist card and explore the ancient cities in the area of the Campi Flegrei National Park, translated from Greek as “Fields of Fire”.
Early in the morning we set off for Paestum. On the advice of experienced travelers, we set off at 7-20. At first, the train went to Salerno without stops, after that it was like a regular train with stops.
Naples, like no other city, is rich in surrounding attractions, from here you can easily get to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento, Salerno, Paestum, Pozzuoli, Caserta, Capua, visit Vesuvius and the Phlegerian fields.
Last year, my wife and I traveled on the "Southern Italy" tour from the deceased "Natalie Tours" (the story is on the website). Once in Naples, we were immediately fascinated by this noisy, lively and beautiful city!
