The Jade Emperor Pagoda was built in 1909 with money from the large Chinese community. The Taoist temple, made in the traditional Chinese style, is dedicated to the Jade Emperor, the supreme deity. His huge statue is in the main sanctuary, surrounded by four guards and images of the ten circles of hell.
