The Hindu temple of Mariamman is located in the city center south of the
Jade Emperor Pagoda. It was built in the late 19th century by the Tamil Hindu community. The building, made in the classical Indian style, has a huge number of colorful sculptures. On the altar in the center of the temple there is a statue of the goddess Mariamman and two guards, in front of which there are two statues in the form of phalluses.
