Mount Rainier is a 953.5 km² national park located 88 km southeast of
Seattle within two counties of the US state of Washington. The dominant feature of the park is the Rainier volcano, 4392 meters high, around which there are valleys with alpine meadows, relict forests, many lakes with waterfalls and glaciers, 6 large rivers originate from here. In different parts of the park there are 3 information and tourist centers, several campsites, on the southern slope of the Rainier volcano there is the Paradise Inn hotel, built in 1916. It is a popular place for hiking, fishing, cycling, horseback riding and hiking. In winter, snowshoe hikes are offered on the always snow-covered slopes of Rainier.
