San Francisco City Hall is located east of Alamo Plaza. It was built in 1915 to replace the old building destroyed by the 1906 earthquake. The monumental building, built in the style of the American Renaissance, stands out with its huge dome. Also noteworthy is the beautiful marble staircase.
