The National Gallery of Art is an art museum located at the east end of the National Mall. It was founded in 1937. The gallery consists of two neoclassical buildings connected by a passage. Its exposition is represented by the best works of European and American masters - paintings, sculptures, engravings. Of particular value is the collection of paintings from the Italian Renaissance.
