Waterfall Voevodin
Carpathians, Zhdeniievo
The Voevodin waterfall is located on the stream of the same name, 10 km from the urban-type settlement of Zhdeniyevo, in the Transcarpathian region. The waterfall originates on Mount Polonina-Runa, penetrates a deep gorge, and then flows into the Shipot River. According to scientists, Voevodin owes its appearance to an earthquake, as a result of which a crack formed in the rocks. The name of the waterfall is a combination of two words - “howl” and “water”, which is explained very simply: breaking down from steep rocks, the water makes a formidable noise. Thus, the roar of the waterfall served as its name. The waterfall falls from a 24-meter height, making an unforgettable impression on rare tourists. There is a beautiful area around the waterfall, so, in addition to a great photo shoot, you can have a wonderful picnic here. In addition, the road to the waterfall itself from Zhdeniyevo is very picturesque, and if you are lucky, you can meet such rare birds as a golden eagle, a peregrine falcon or a vulture.
