The wooden upper church of St. Nicholas of the XV-XVII centuries is one of the oldest wooden churches in Ukraine, located in the village. Sredne Vodyanoe, 5 km north of smt. Solotvino. There is another wooden church of St. Nicholas in the village -
lower, built in the 17th century, but in a lowland. The upper church of St. Nicholas was erected in 1600 on oak log cabins from 1428.
The superbly preserved temple with a high pointed tower, a steep high roof and lancet windows combines the forms of Old Believer and Gothic architecture. The last reconstruction of the temple took place in 1760, as a result of which a high tower appeared and a four-tiered iconostasis was installed. The interior has preserved ancient wall paintings and frescoes of high artistic value. The temple is three-part, with rooms located sequentially from west to east: babinets, nava and an altar. The upper church of St. Nicholas is an active temple.
