The festival "Melodies of salt lakes" is held in the village of Solotvyno annually, at the end of July, near the most famous salt lake - Kunigunda, comparable in properties of water and brine to the Dead Sea. The festival is dedicated to the cultures of the national minorities of Transcarpathia, creative teams from all over the region come to the village.
On a specially installed large stage, dozens of Ukrainian and Hungarian, Slovak and Russian, German and Romanian groups perform songs, dances and various creative numbers. It is in the Tyachevsky district that the largest number of representatives of the German and Romanian communities in Transcarpathia lives. Becoming a spectator of this large-scale and interesting event, with its festive and cheerful atmosphere, will be interesting for any guest of Transcarpathia.
