Blue Lagoon
Carpathians, Kostrina
This wonderful place, surrounded by rocks, moss-covered stones and dense forest, is located in the Transcarpathian region. The nearest settlement - the village of Chernogolova - is several kilometers away. The lagoon, formed by a swift mountain river, is a small backwater, which on a fine sunny day acquires a rich turquoise hue. Until recently, only local residents knew about the existence of the lagoon, for whom it is better known as Stanitskaya. This should be taken into account if you have to ask for directions. The lagoon is especially good on hot summer days to hide from the sweltering heat. True, swimming here is not recommended: despite the shallow depth (up to 3 meters), the water in the lagoon does not warm up well even in the month of August. It is curious that fish are found in the lagoon, and a lot. It's just illegal to catch her. Getting to this miracle of nature is not easy - you should prepare for a tiring hike through difficult mountainous terrain.. Therefore, it is recommended to use the services of an experienced guide so as not to get lost, or visit the lagoon as part of an organized excursion group.
