Wine cellar of the Paraski family

The wine cellar of the Paraska's family
Carpathians, Berehove
The wine cellar of the Parasky family is located in Transcarpathia, in the small village of Bene, which is 98% Hungarian. Wine tasting takes place in a cave carved out in the 1920s by captured Italian soldiers. The length of the cave is about 17 meters, the temperature here is maintained at a constant temperature of +12..+13 degrees. Seven wines are offered for sampling, as well as the famous "Llodeni wine" with a touch of raisins.

I accidentally learned about the death of a winemaker - a wonderful person and a unique professional. I decided to write a review, because his sons continue his business and I believe that they keep the same brand and the same quality as their father. Let me start by saying that it was the most interesting excursion I have ever visited in Transcarpathia. Yuriy Paraska was not only a winemaker, but also a teacher and just a wonderful conversationalist. He accommodated guests inside his wine cellar and talked in a mega interesting way about winemaking and each type of wine that he offered for tasting.
