Carpathians, Berehove
The Borzhava narrow-gauge railway passes through the territory of Beregovsky, Irshavsky and Vynohradivsky districts of the Transcarpathian region. Its length is 123 km, and the gauge is 75 cm. The narrow gauge railway was put into operation in 1908 and until 1923 was in private ownership. Today there is a 44-kilometer excursion route here, the uniqueness of which lies in the fact that traffic control is still carried out without the use of electricity - only by mechanical means.
