Mount Red Stone
Rock Red stone, Chervony Kamin
Crimea, Yalta
Monument of nature (1969) near the village of Krasnokamenka over Gurzuf.
It is made of marble-like limestone, similar to the one used for lining the Komsomolskaya station of the Moscow metro.
Here, in the area of Red Stone, is the only place in Crimea where grapes grow, from which the best dessert drink in the world is produced - white Muscat Red Stone.
The outcast mountain rises above the slope (about 500 m), forming a natural bastion, from which a wide view opens. This was used in antiquity: on the top of the Red Stone, the ruins of a medieval observation post have been preserved.
