Simferopol Kenassa
Kenassa in Simferopol, Kenasa, Temple of the Crimean Karaites
Crimea, Simferopol
The Simferopol kenassa (the religious building of the Karaites) is located in the center of the city. It was built at the end of the 19th century in a mixed Gothic-Byzantine-Moorish style. In Soviet times, the kenassa was closed, and the building was devoid of decor. In 2014, the building in disrepair was handed over to the Karaite community.
