Cape Kazantip
Cape Kazan-Tip, Qazan Tip, Kazantip
Crimea, Kerch
Monument of nature (1964), reserved tract (1980) in the northern part of the Kerch hills. Kazantip resembles a ring reef atoll resembling typical coral reefs and rises 107 meters above the sea. The coast of Kazantip is heavily indented and resembles a giant gear. The nature of Kazantip is interesting from all points of view - geomorphological, botanical, zoological. What forms the sea has not worked out in the steep banks of Kazantip: grottoes, sheds, and arched vaults! A little imagination - and what you will not see here: prehistoric animals, peaked peaks and other unusual figures. The picturesqueness of the coast is complemented by the vegetation cover adapted to the local steppe conditions - thickets of wild rose, hawthorn, blackthorn, elderberry, jasmine, and blackberry are visible right on the rocks. Flocks of birds flock to Kazantip. There are especially many waterfowl, since they have enough food: there is a rich underwater world off the coast. The shores of Kazantip are charming. And the air here is special, filled with the smells of the sea and the steppe.
