Jangul coast
Dzhangulskoe landslide coast
Crimea, Yevpatoria
Monument of nature (1960), reserve (1980). The Dzhangul coast is an amazing world of seaside rocks and landslides. It is located in the extreme west of Tarkhankut near the village of Olenevka. Collapses of various shapes, scree, huge landslide massifs give the coast a wild, severe look. The largest landslide massif is located near the Ternovskaya beam: its length is about 500 meters, its width is 200 meters. A strip of chaotically heaped blocks stretched for almost five kilometers along the coast. The Dzhangulsky tract is an interesting complex monument of nature, clearly illustrating the modern landslide development of the coast, the active abrasive activity of the sea, a complex combination of original plant and zoological communities.
