The Crimean mountain karst is a state geological reserve (1989). It is located within the borders of the Karabi-yayly mountain plateau. The entire visible space of the plateau is dotted with funnels of various sizes and shapes, heaps of stone blocks and elongated low ridges. Real stone sea! On the plateau of the reserved Yayla there are thousands of karst caves and mines, decorated with stalactites, stalagmites, openwork sinter formations. Many of the underground uniques bear the names of famous scientists - researchers of karst: Gvozdetsky, Dublyansky, Kruber, Kaster, Mamin ... The reserve plays a crucial role in the accumulation and preservation of clean underground waters of the mountainous Crimea.
