Tereshchenko Estate, Tereshchenko Palace, Andrushevka
Ukraine, Zhytomyr
In the town of Andrushevka there is a palace with a beautiful park on the Guiva River. In the 19th century, the estate of the famous sugar manufacturer Nikolai Tereshchenko was located here. And during the Civil War, the headquarters of the First Cavalry Army under the leadership of the legendary commander Semyon Budyonny was located in the palace.
The estate is located among an old park, taken under state protection. Belonged to Baron de Chaudouard, later N. I. Tereshchenko. The ensemble consists of several structures: the main entrance gate, three towers of the fence (the fourth has not been preserved) and an outbuilding. Located on the terrace near the river. Ivenki, a two-story building of the palace, was demolished in the 19th century. The place is notable for the presence on the estate of old trees over 200 years old.
