The historical and cultural complex "Zaporizhzhya Sich" is located in the north-eastern part of Khortitsa Island. It was opened in 2004. The complex is a reconstruction of the Cossack fortress. It includes fortifications with watchtowers, Cossack kurens, a church, a chieftain's house, as well as numerous outbuildings.
