The Holy Trinity Orthodox Convent was founded in 1635 on the initiative of the magnate Mikhail Kropivnitsky and was located in Vinnitsa. After the introduction of the union, the monastery became a Uniate monastery in 1723 and gradually fell into decay. After the entry of Podolia into the Russian Empire, the Uniate convent again became Orthodox and in 1845 was transferred to Brailov in the building of the former Catholic church of the Trinitarian Order. During the First World War, a military infirmary was set up in the monastery. Since 1932, the monastery was closed several times and resumed its work, until in September 1989 it was finally transferred to the Orthodox Church.
