The city of Vilkovo is located in the Odessa region on the banks of the Danube. It was founded in 1746, by now its population is 8.5 thousand inhabitants. It is not for nothing that Vilkovo is called the “Ukrainian Venice”: the old part of the city is located on the water, instead of streets there are canals (the locals call them eriks). There are also many Old Believers living in the city.

Doubtful "Venice"
Very colorful and cute place. An original village with its own way of life. Of course, calling it Venice is very doubtful, they only have the first letter in the name in common.→

Ukrainian Venice
Quite a long time ago, I wanted to go to Ukrainian Venice - Vilkovo. It is located in the south-west of the Odessa region in the Dniester Delta. Directly on the border with Romania, about 15 kilometers from the confluence of the river into the Black Sea. The nearest settlement is Mayaki. The landscapes here are very beautiful. The batteries in the camera ran out completely in a day. Vilkovo is perhaps one of those places worth visiting. Instead of streets, there are canals, locals go boating, about as often as most villagers ride bicycles.→
